  • Food is great. Roast beef, lamb leg, and wagyu. There other food choices from appetizers, main dish, asian, american, japanese, desserts, and others. Kirin draft beer at Php320 per glass or unlimited for 2 hours for Php 1,500.

  • Ambience at Manila Pen is top notch starting with the huge lobby area. Escolta buffet also has great interiors and great food selection. Service was so so coz it was hard to call the waiter's attention to clear up the plates on our table, seems that the staff are undermanned. Also it took awhile to get our bill. I had to stand up and go to the cashier after waiting 15 mins or so for our bill. Buffet price is on the pricey side compared to other hotels in Metro Manila, so we were expecting top notch service.

  • Great buffet options. There’s something for everyone, sushi was solid, meats were quiet good and the asian options outstanding. Desserts are OK but they make it up with the fruit selection. Great place for a family plan, nice pool view.

  • Enjoyed my 3 days 2 nights of stay here. On our first day of breakfast buffet, my mom (a senior citizen) accidentally choked and within a flash, Ms Nina from Escolta immediately offered her water. That one simple gesture gave me a lasting impression of how warm the hotel handles guest at their utmost service. The taho was my favorite. As well as the crispy bacon. Highly recommended. Would definitely come back!

  • We went here on a Friday evening to celebrate an anniversary. They were having a "Flavors of Japan" themed dinner buffet. Outstanding items: Tempura (best we had in Philippines; and the sauce was also perfect), Wagyu beef, Avocado and Octopus cocktail, Sushi/Sashimi (only Tuna, Salmon and Tako Octopus available but they were very good), Intense Chocolate and Strawberry Triple and passion fruit merengue desserts, Watermelon and Dragon fruits, fresh salad. The infused water was also very good. Ok Quality items: Lechon, Siomai, Ramen, Coffee. Not good Items: Leg of Lamb (was truly disappointing, very tough to eat, shocking that they put it out!), Papaya had no taste at all, again why put it out? Pro tips: You can find very good fresh Mango at the Japanese Halo Halo station . Also don't get a table on the main floor, near the buffet tables. The reason is that there is a main outside door that goes right into the Escolta resto. So outsiders and guests use the restaurant as a thoroughfare to get to the lobby! It's shocking, but during the evening maybe 200 to 300 people were walking right next to the buffet line, making it difficult for diners to access the food. This set up is also totally unhygienic. It's unbelievable that the hotel and restaurant would allow this kind of set up. Otherwise it's a beautiful restaurant, but the constant parade of non diners ruins the ambiance. On the plus side, the service is really top notch. Give 5 stars to the staff.

  • If you'd really like to feel and enjoy a festive and memorable Yuletide Season, then you won't ask for anything more than at the Escolta for an impressive lunch buffet. I enjoyed choosing from a delightful array of local and international cuisine to satisfy my palate. I had a hard time choosing what to try, but I commend the dedication and loving hard work that went into creating each dish they offered. But of course, my personal favorite is always the Japanese delicacies. And I was not disappointed. It was an impressive dining experience made memorable by the hotel's festive ambience and professional service. Worth coming back to again and again!

  • It's a treat to visit Escolta with their Japanese-themed buffet. Very good and fresh spread of sushi, tempura, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, wagyu beef, Japanese desserts and a few familiar Filipino and Chinese cuisine. It was refreshing to see taho as well!

  • We decided to meet a dear friend Father Manny from Spain to have breakfast here. It didn’t disappoint our breakfast food cravings with different types of cuisine to choose from. The fresh coconut juice is a nice touch to Filipino breakfast though they didn’t have decaffeinated coffee to over. Food was excellent, service is a little slow meaning you have to ask for certain things to be brought to your table like a refill of a hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Either way is a small thing not to give this restaurant a five star.
